Hi,
I'm looking to get back into 8th scale buggies, and was going to go with an "E" setup. Has there been a class designated for these at Prairie City yet? I live in Roseville, so I'm really not interested in driving 2 hrs to race.
Regards,
Steve |

| Right now there is no seperate class. The electrics run with the Nitro's and have mandatory pit stops during the mains. It generally takes like 4 or 5 to make a class so if you can get that many together I'm sure they would run one. |

| Bring it on out, the class is just starting to get noticed and in a few months we should see it's own class at our local tracks. I for one enjoy nitro, but watching an electric car accelerate is way cool. I just got mine and I should have it ready in a month or so. |

I would try these , Make sure you take notes...
1. AKA Grid Iron (Soft)
2. Pro-line Revolvers (Soft)
3. Pro-line Calibers (Soft)
4. Pro-line Crimefighters (Soft)
5. Losi Eclipse (Red)
6. Losi Reptile (Red)
7. AKA Crossbrace (Soft)
8. Panther Komodo Dragon 1 (Med-Soft)
9. Panther Komodo Dragon 2 (Med-Soft)
10. Panther Gator (Clay, Med-Soft)
11. Panther Boa (Clay, Med-Soft)
There are so many more tires out there, but this should get you started, and they usually are the easiest to find at good hobby shops. You can call me at fthobbies.com (Fast Track Hobbies) on Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 916-725-1722 if you have any questions.
Later,
Joel |

the notepad is ready! Does FT Hobbies carry the AKA tires you recommended?
Thanks,

We usually have everything in stock from the list I mentioned. Were located in Citrus Heights, so if your close by come in and check it out. If not, I would call to make sure we have what your looking for.
Have you been able to get the RC8e on the track yet? If not, come out to the challenger's cup this weekend and get it dirty. I should be there this weekend so if you need some setup help just ask. I'll probably be walking around with a video camera, if not just ask someone and they can point me out. |

The 8E is not ready yet. I'm still in need of the electronics, and of course tires! I've met you before, and i'll look you up at FT or at the next race.

Yea, the Tekin stuff is nice. I use their Motor/esc combo for my carpet cars (1/10, 1/12).
What lipo's are you looking at? I'm not sure weather to go with 2- 2s, or 1- 4s battery.

| I'm going to be using 2-2s side by side, if you can fit a 4s in their I would do that. It might make your configuration a little easier to take care of. Less clutter. |

Less clutter means less wire which means less resistance and that all makes for more POWER |

I think a 4s weighs less than 2- 2s lipos. Not sure what the difference is. But definately keeping the wiring short and tidy would be a priority. |

Do you guys punch holes in your tires? Or is it the rim? Or both? How do you do it, and why do you do it, and where on the wheel/tire do you do it?
Obvious newbie here!!!
Thanks,
Steve |
