Starting this weekend, Saturday October 2nd 2010, MRCR will be starting another series race called .... 

"The End of the Year Holiday Series" 

The series will span 3 months with a total of 7 races with 2 throw outs. The race dates will be as follows.... 

Oct. 2, 16, 30

Nov. 6, 20

Dec. 4, 18 

Weather permitting these races will all be Saturday morning races. Gates open at 8AM racing starts at 10AM. 

Confirmed classes will be 

-Novice - Run what you brought

-Open 2wd Buggy

-Open 2wd SCT 

Depending on the turnout 4wd SCT is a good possibility. And I have heard word that the CVR guys might be showing up and running a Nitro Class. 

There will be plaques for 1st-3rd place winners in all mains. There will also be a raffle at the end of the series. Already they plan to raffle off an RTR B4, with more raffle prizes to come. 

There is also a new track layout that will be being worked on this week which will look something like this.

Saturday 11-6-2010 couldn't have been a better day for some RC racing. Weather was perfect, turnout was great and everyone had a great time. We even had enough turnout in 2wd SCT to have an A and a B main! 14 trucks overall. 10 in 2wd buggy. And a few new face was also great to see.

Modest RC Raceway will be having 3 day race come this May 13,14,15th of 2011. The attached flier will be updated once I have more info.

Rick managed to come all the way from a last place start to finish 3rd in 2wd SCT. Great driving man.



Rick ran his e-8th in 4wd SCT but isnt being counted in the point series with his 8th buggy.

Round 2 of the RC Nights series was on Saturday the 2nd over the Independence day weekend. It was a great night yet very hot early on. But once the sun went down the track held moisture well and we saw some fast laps from some drivers.

We had a pretty good turnout with 52 entries and a few new faces. The kids class is growing which is so good to see. The novice class once again had a good turnout as well. So you new guys and/or parents with kids come on out and check us out.

Here they are the 2011 Race For A Cure results.

148 entries and 19 races made for a long enjoyable day/night of RC racing. Triple A's made the mains schedule run into 36 races. Racing got underway around 9:30AM and wrapped up just after 12:00AM Sunday morning. The race program when very smoothly and lots of people lent and hand when maintenance and marshaling was needed. But best of all money was raised to help support the American Cancer Society in their on going fight to cure cancer.

Lots of great racing with even greater people. MRCR had a good showing from Norcal, Delta, Sac and CVR. It was really great to see all you come out to support this cause. I got to chat with a good number of you guys and hope to see you all again soon.

The raffle was huge! Lots off people came away with great prizes.

Thank you all for coming out and sharing this day/night with us. All you racers are what made this such a huge success!!!!
