The weather was great and I think we had about 70 entries show overall, so not a bad day. Unfortunately the day did get long with some lag from the program, but in the end all races were run and there was some great competition on the track that made it exciting to watch.
Both sportsman and expert buggy B main events which were 15 minutes long had a battle down to the last lap for bump position. The Sportsman truggy main started off with a great battle for 1st and 2nd which lasted for 7 to 10 minutes than the leader started walking away. The expert buggy race was a good race, Phillip Atondo took the early lead and kept it for all of the race, I was in second just cruising trying to get around lap traffic cutting the lead Phillip had from 19 seconds down to 8 seconds after about 20 minutes but both he and I still had to contend with lap traffic which made it interesting. Jason Melfa driving an MBX6 took up the 3rd podium position.
John Scott "Nevada" in the expert truggy main pretty much laid it down, he started 1st and finished 1st with a smooth and consistent run.
Thanks to the Redding Crew for putting a great track together, and for all of you that has donated your time and funds to the cause for all of us to enjoy, great jobs and keep it up please...!
